Honeymoon Pt. 2 - Ports of Call

Antigua - We didn't plan any excursions here but we did get off the boat to check it out.  This was a very depressed country, definitely not interested in going back here any time soon.

St Lucia was amazing.  We went on an all-day tour and had  the best time.  Next time we might do a private tour, but this was great fun.  We got to go to a drive in volcano, the rain forest, a waterfall, a beach and we got to eat lots and lots of local foods.  Mmmm, food.

Barbados was next.  I left Dan on the ship...actually he came with me and waited with me while we waited for the taxi driver to pick our group up to take us to our excursion.  Then, he went back to the ship and had himself a man day.  Have I mentioned how great he is, btw?  

In Barbados, I went on an excursion with 10 other people.  We took a Catamaran out for the day and went snorkeling in the beautiful blue/green waters.  SO pretty!  Found out last night that the company we used - Calabaza - lost their boat in Hurricane Tomas.  Very sad.  They are still operating, just with a rented boat now.

We stopped at St Kitts next, didn't take many pictures because we didn't leave the port area.  We bought gifts here and that was about it.  

The next port was St Thomas.  OMG was St Thomas packed!!  FIVE cruise ships there that day.  Crazy.  So, we stayed on the ship that morning, enjoyed some morning sun and watching other boats dock behind us.  We got off the boat around 11 to walk around, take some pictures and to drink some more, of course.  We drank a lot in St Thomas....a lot.....

When we left St. Thomas, we had one At Sea day left and then....our last port.  Bahamas is just beautiful.  Princess, like most cruise lines, has their own island there.  It was quite enjoyable.  We just sat on the beach, listening to music, did a little snorkeling and then headed back to the boat to go home.  :(

Our honeymoon was everything we hoped it would be and more.  We relaxed, relaxed and relaxed some more.  Cruising was absolutely the best choice for us for our honeymoon.  Dan asked me as we were getting off the boat - "when are we going to Alaska?"  :)  Maybe in 5 years once we save up for another one of these amazing trips, dear!!
