Princess Ultimate Balcony Dinner

I had read about this on a website called CruiseCritic.com.  If you are ever planning a cruise or are hoping to go on a cruise some day, this site has the best information I could find - better than anything Princess.com could offer.

It's a dinner for two that is set up in your stateroom.  It's best if you have a room with a balcony (natch).  The dinner consists of appetizers, entree, dessert and drinks (as it was explained to me).  It was so very much more than that, though.  I can't even describe how wonderful it was.  This did cost extra, it was $100 for the couple.  It included a personal waiter for as long as we were eating and drinking.  He showed up at exactly 6:30pm and asked if he could leave the door unlocked while he set up the balcony.  He moved some things around and next thing we knew, there was a table set up with a white tablecloth, flowers and whole table setting on it.

We got to choose the drinks we wanted to start the night, so we went with the triple berry daquiri that we fell in love with the first day on the cruise. Mmmmm sugar crusted rims...

It could not have been a better night.  Our waiter even said, "The view of the moon is included in tonight's dinner."  :)

 After our pre-dinner drinks, we enjoyed some canapes.  Didn't know we were going to get these!  They were all very delicious.

After Canapes, he brought out our split of champagne and our appetizers.  Crab Quiche with pasta sauce on the side that was just to die for.  YUM!

Getting full...we move on to the most amazing salad I have ever eaten.  I don't even like salads normally but this salad was just the best thing ever.  Look at all that goat cheese!!

And then, the main course.  The main event.  I'm completely stuffed by now but you will not stop me from eating this entire lobster...(and maybe a few bites of the filet!!)  Heaven.  Absolute heaven.

What?  There's MORE!?  Dessert.  Petite Fours AND a chocolate dessert!  

 Dan and I both agree, this was far and beyond the best meal we have ever eaten.  Not only was the service impecable, it felt like we were on our own deserted island being served at our very own restaurant.  Folks on the balconies near us stayed either in their rooms or away while we were eating, so it was just very peaceful.  We will remember this dinner forever.
