Yup, Mom and I figured it out and found Dan and me another condo FAR away from his parents. Phew. Problem solved. Apologies to the friends who got to deal with my panic attack last night. Oh and to the blog followers, as well. :sheepishlook:
In other news, some ways people are making me laugh or smile this week:
Lauren - Telling me, while her seamstress was suspicious of the orange shoe phenomenon prior to her final dress fitting, she heartily approved of the orange shoe with blue bridesmaid dress look once the alterations were complete! Woohoo!
Mom - Telling me through email, "I just want to make sure you don't melt." This was related to pre-wedding photos. I don't know why but that statement, even though it was incorporated into other thoughts in an email made me laugh. Out loud. At work. Love those.
Dan - Discussing cockroaches and their quote, "whatevs" from the "if there was always a Facebook" email.
Moving on.
With just over 2 weeks to go, here is what we have left to do:
FINAL final dress fitting. Had final dress fitting last week. Then Mom felt she needed to be here for the actual final fitting so, she's coming in on Thursday. I love this woman. This is the fourth time she has come in for just a dress fitting. She's awesome. After the fitting, we'll be shopping for beer and wine for the BBQ picnic.
Pre Cana. We are not getting married in the Catholic Church, but both felt it was important to do this for our future. We aren't parishioners of a church right now but both grew up Catholic, so it's something that we feel the need to do. We completed FOCCUS this past weekend and will go to our all-day class this Saturday.
Highlights and major wedding stuff dump. The weekend of October 9th, I'm going to Southport to drop off a ton of stuff, get my hair fixed and to get my make-up trial. Praying the make-up trial goes well!
That's really it...other than little things the weekend of the wedding. So very exciting!! :)
Reading, eating, playing and crafting my way through 2011.
